Liberia: A Brief Context
Decades of conflict, disease outbreaks, and economic shocks have strained families across Liberia. As a result, many children have been left vulnerable—some orphaned, others separated from caregivers. Communities are resilient, but support systems remain under-resourced. Liv Grosser Foundation partners with local leaders to provide family-style care, education, healthcare, and livelihood pathways that protect children and strengthen families.
Family separation drivers
Conflict legacies, poverty, limited access to schooling and healthcare, and rural-urban migration all contribute to child vulnerability.
Why family-style care
Evidence shows children thrive best in safe, nurturing family environments with consistent caregivers and access to education and health services.
Our approach
Holistic, Christ-centered model combining housing, schooling, primary healthcare, nutrition, and skills that empower youth into adulthood.
